Local, experienced, and I build real things
I’m John — a solution architect with over a decade of experience delivering complex systems for one of the UK’s largest environmental companies, and the builder of the Hattie Knows apps: AI document reading, automated reminders, payments, the lot — designed, built and run by me.
I live near Cardigan. That matters: you get someone who’ll sit at your kitchen table or come to your unit, who answers emails himself, and who isn’t going to disappear behind an agency account manager. Small, sturdy, useful systems — not six-month digital transformation programmes.

We’re not techy at all. Is that a problem?
No — it’s the point. Everything I build is meant to be used by people who’d rather be running their business. If it needs a manual thicker than a page, I’ve built it wrong.
What does “AI automation” actually mean here?
Practical things: software that reads a bill, invoice or certificate and files the details; drafts that write themselves for you to approve; reminders that fire before deadlines instead of after. No hype, and never AI for its own sake — sometimes the right fix is a simple form and a spreadsheet.
How long does a Health Check take?
The conversation is 60–90 minutes. You’ll have the written report and your quick-win automation within a week.
What if you look and there’s nothing worth automating?
Then the report says so, and you’ve spent £195 to find out your admin is in good shape — with the quick win installed anyway. I’d rather tell you the truth than sell you a project.
Do you only work near Cardigan?
In-person visits cover roughly Aberystwyth to Haverfordwest to Carmarthen. Beyond that, everything works fine over a video call.
